Dr. Liu Bo and Doctoral student Rui Lin, representatives of Professor Zhang Shengen’s team, were invited to attend the 10th anniversary celebration of Boeing’s (China) Research & Technology business unit. at Inter Continental Beijing Sanlitun on 28, October, 2019.

Dr. Naveed Hussain and Alex Chao, who are the vice presidents of Boeing's (China) Research & Technology business unit, and Paul Pasquier, who is the vice president of Boeing’s Global Technology Supply Chain Management and Engineering Testing and Technology Department, introduced the achievements of Boeing’s China R&D and Technology Department in the past decade.

Since 2016, Boeing (China) Co. Ltd. and Prof. Zhang’s team have carried out international cooperation on Grade-Maintaining Green Reuse Technology for Aviation Aluminum Alloy. Professor Zhang led the team to tackle scientific and technological problems and has developed key technologies such as on-line measurement and adjustment of melt alloy composition, impurity removal, degassing, refining and modification, material forming, etc. And they has realized the regeneration of 2024, 7075, 7050 and other aviation aluminum alloys using scrap aircraft aluminum alloy and machining chips as raw materials. All the recycled alloys meet the National Standards and American Standards. These technologies have provided a foundation for industrialization of Grade-Maintaining Green Reuse Technology for Aviation Aluminum Alloy. Boeing China believes that Professor Zhang’s team is an important partner and highly appreciates the team’s research and development achievements in Grade-Maintaining Green Reuse Technology for Aviation Aluminum Alloy. In recognition of the important achievements made by Professor Zhang’s team, Boeing (China) company awarded Professor Zhang Shengen the certificate of “Cooperation and Application”.
