On Sep. 17, the establishment ceremony of innovation and entrepreneurship sub center of Institute for Advanced Materials and Technology (IAMT) of University of Science and Technology Beijing (USTB) and USTB-CYZone innovation and entrepreneurship center of advanced materials industry were successfully held in classroom 404 of Corrosion Building. The docking meeting between technological innovation and industrial capital was carried out as well. ZhaohuaYin, director of admissions and employment department and director of innovation and entrepreneurship center of USTB, Li Qian, Secretary of the Party committee of IAMT,Guo Zhimeng , Zhang Shengen, Yan Yu, and other teachers and students of IAMT attended the ceremony. Nan Lixin, founder and CEO of CYZone, Xie Guoqin, partner of CYZone, and the representative of Plum Ventures, QF Capital, Jinghu Capital and China JinMao Holdings Group Limited were invited to attend the establishment of the center. The meeting was presidedby Gao Xiaodan, the deputy secretary of the Party committee of IAMT.

Firstly, Yin Zhaohua welcomed and appreciated the arrival of all the guests and congratulated the establishment of the two centers. She said: “The innovation and entrepreneurship center of USTB aims to “let the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship become the internal driving force for students” development”.The centers will give full play to the discipline advantages and integrate innovation and entrepreneurship education into the whole process of talent training, and focus on cultivating innovation and entrepreneurial talents in the new era.

On behalf of IAMT, Li Qianbelieves that universities are not only training bases for talents, but also important sources of innovation for scientific and technological achievements. IAMT is a university research institute established with the advantages of material science and engineering. It is believed that with the support of the innovation and entrepreneurship center of USTB, the unremitting efforts of all teachers and students, and the help of CYZone as the leading venture capital enterprise, we will further integrate scientific research, personnel training and achievement transformation.Thus, we can promote the development of scientific and technological innovation and the integration of industry-university-research.

Nan Lixin said that it was a great honor to build a new platform for innovation and entrepreneurship with IAMT. In the opening ceremony, Yin Zhaohua and Li Qian unveiled the innovation and entrepreneurship sub center of advanced materials technology research institute. Zhang Shengen and LixinNan unveiled the new materials industry innovation and entrepreneurship center of USTB-CYZone. The ceremony meant the formal establishment of the two centers.

After the unveiling ceremony, the advanced materials industry innovation and entrepreneurship center held the first innovation forum activity: the docking meeting of scientific and technological innovation and industrial capital. Professors of IAMT presented and exchanged four projects: Polymer Composite Materials, High-precision Aluminum Materials, High-Quality Micro Spherical Titanium Powder and New Aluminum Technology. After that, experts, scholars, investors and entrepreneurs launched free exchanges. Investors and entrepreneurs conducted in-depth discussion, and established the intention of further cooperation. So far, the establishment ceremony of innovation and entrepreneurship sub center of IAMT of USTB, and the innovation and entrepreneurship center of advanced material industry of USTB-CYZone were successfully completed.
