Xinhua Liu, doctor of engineering, professor, doctoral supervisor. He graduated from Hunan University with bachelor degree, and graduated from University of Science and Technology Beijing with master degree and doctor degree. He is currently the director of the Key Laboratory for Advanced Materials Processing (MOE) and the director of the Institute of Advanced Materials Processing of the University of Science and Technology Beijing. He is a recipient of the National Natural Science Foundation for Distinguished Young Scholars of China, a Leader Talent of Science and Technology Innovation of national special support program for high-level personnel recruitment, and a Leader in Science and Technology Innovation of the Ministry of Science and Technology. He is also a member of ASTM International Standard Committee, a senior member of Chinese Society for Composites Materials, and a member of Academic Committee of Copper Alloy Processing of the Nonferrous Metals Society of China.

1. Fundamental theory of controlled solidification and controlled forming of high performance metal materials

Scientific research achievement :

He has been engaged in the research on the basic theory and application of new technology of short-process preparation and processing of high performance metal materials for a long time, and has enriched and developed the new ideas of short-process preparation by controlled solidification and controlled forming of high performance metal materials. He has made innovative research achievements in the preparation and processing of high-performance copper-aluminum composites, high-performance copper alloys, and high-performance difficult-processing rare metal materials, and related achievements have been applied in civil industry, national defense and military industry.

He has won a second prize of the State Technological Invention Award, a second prize of National Prize for Progress in Science and Technology, and four first prizes at provincial and ministerial level. He has undertaken more than 20 scientific research projects such as the National Natural Science Foundation for Distinguished Young Scholars of China, the Key foundation for National Defense, the National Key Research and Development Program of China and 863 Program. He has published more than 60 papers in journals such as JAC, JMPT, MMTA/B, MSEA, JMR, Corrosion Science, etc. He has applied for 38 national invention patents, of which 30 have been authorized. The patents have been implemented in 8 enterprises and produced significant economic and social benefits. He has also developed one ASTM international standard of the United States and two national standards of China about new materials.
