Personal profile:
Lin Lu, born in 1977, Ph.D. in Materials Science, associate research fellow in the Institute for Advanced Materials & Technology, USTB.
Research direction:
Lu’s research interests include the development of novel functional coating materials for applications in solar cell, magnetic shielding and corrosion protection, and the corresponding degradation mechanism of the above materials under service environments. In addition, the surface property optimum and improvement for sheet steels is her most focused area cooperated with industries in recent year.
As a principal investigator, she has accomplished multiple national projects funded by MOST of China and NSFC in the area of organic coating degradation and the mechanism of underfilm corrosion. Meanwhile, she has endeavored to solve technical problems of enterprises, such as BAOWU Steel Corp.
She has published over 50 research papers in peer-reviewed journals such as Journal of Materials Science and Technology, Progress in Organic Coatings, Surface Coating and Technology, and Applied Polymer Science. Besides, as a co-author, she published two monographs and one translation work “Fractography”.
