Personal profile:

Mingli Qin, born in 1975, doctor of engineering, professor, doctoral tutor. From 1992 to 2002, he studied at Central South University and received bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees. In 2003, he joined the Beijing University of Science and Technology. In 2005, he was promoted to associate professor. In 2008, he was hired as a doctoral tutor, and promoted to professor in 2009. Prof. Qin has won “National Ten-thousand Talents Program for Science and Technology Innovation Leaders", "Youth Science and Technology Innovation Leader of Science and Technology Ministry", "Program for New Century Excellent Talents in University of Ministry of Education of China", "Fok Ying-Tong Education Foundation for Young Teachers in the Higher Education Institutions of China", and "Beijing Nova Program". Now, Prof. Qin is the executive director of the Youth Committee of the China Material Society and the Powder Metallurgy Branch of the China Steel Association. He is also the vice chairman of Injection Molding Committee of the China Steel Association. Prof. Qin has served as the chief expert of the theme project of 12th Five-Year National 863 Programs, and has presided over 4 National Natural Science Funds, 2 National 863 Programs, 6 National Defense Scientific Research, and a number of provincial and ministerial-level projects and corporate cooperation projects. In the recent five years, Prof. Qin has won 1 First Prize for Technical Invention of the Ministry of Education and 2 First Prize for Technical Invention of China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association (all ranked first), published 60 SCI papers as the first/corresponding author, and authorized 44 patents. He has been invited to give more than 20 academic lectures, and served as the chairman of Rare Refractory Metal Session of 2017 China Materials Conference and the chairman of Powder Metallurgy Session of 2018 High Performance Metal Materials Processing and Preparation Conference.
