Yang Bai is a Professor in the Institute for Advanced Materials and Technology at University of Science and Technology Beijing (China).

He received his B.S. and Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Tsinghua University, in 2001 and 2006. During the graduate, he was voted as the Top Ten Graduates of Tsinghua University. Since 2006, he works in University of Science and Technology Beijing.

In 2012, he was voted as the National Program for Support of Top-Notch Young Professionals, and was selected in the New Century Excellent Talents plan (MOE). In 2013, he was selected in the Beijing Higher Education Young Elite Teacher Project. In 2015, he was voted as the Best Scientific Research Workers by the Chinese Association of Young Scientists and Technologists.In 2020, he won the 13th "Youth Science and Technology Award" of the Chinese Ceramics Society. In 2020, he won the first prize in natural science of MOE, and in 2016, he won the second prize in natural science of MOE.

He is a the executive director of Chinese Metamaterial Society, the deputy secretary general of Chinese Electronic Component Society, the director in the Advanced Ceramics Society of Chinese Ceramic Society, the director of the Instrument Functional Materials Society of China Instrument and Control Society China. And he also serves as advisory panel in Journal of Physics D: Applied Physics, subject editor of International Journal of Minerals, Metallury and Materials, editor of Journal of Advanced Ceramics, young editor of SCIENCE CHINA: Technological Sciences, and peer reviewer of more than 80 international academic journals including Nature Comm, Adv Mater, Material Today.

He is a fellow in the Chinese Association of Young Scientists and Technologists, the Advanced Ceramics Society of Chinese Ceramic Society, and the Instrument Functional Materials Society of China Instrument and Control Society China. He also serves as advisory panel in Journal of Physics D: Applied Physics, young editor of SCIENCE CHINA: Technological Sciences, editor of International Journal of Minerals, Metallurgy and Materials, and peer reviewer of more than 30 international academic journals including Adv (Func) Mater, J Mater Chem, Appl Phys Lett, J Am Ceram Soc, and so on.

Achievements

He has published more than 150 SCI-indexed papers, which were cited ~3000 times by others (H-index=35). In addition, he published 3 academic monographs in English and achieved 10 authorized invention patents. He has given plenary talk, keynote talk and invited talks more than 50 times in international academic conferences.
